Supported by National Lottery funding Sundown Arts runs a programme of events and festivals showcasing art based entertainment. Year upon year the range of talent expands with new and exciting performances being put on for the enjoyment of the local and wider community.Sundown Arts started in 2004 as a poetry night with one live music act and has grown in strength every year since. Events are run entirely by volunteers with all money reinvested straight back into producing, advertising and running other events.
National Lottery funding has made it possible for Sundown Arts to continue staging exciting shows like the annual Village Green festival. To celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2014, the organisation will take a unique blend of comedy, spoken word, live music and performance to five different venues in Essex and East Anglia, with a website plotting their adventures along the way.
The organisation sets up platforms for local talent to express themselves and brings art into the community for all to enjoy.
