National Lottery Draw Show host and new mum, Jenni Falconer, is calling on people to nominate local Good Causes for the National Lottery Awards 2012 – the annual search to find the UK’s favourite Lottery-funded projects.  

Four-time Olympic gold medallist Sir Matthew Pinsent today joined athletes from every one of the 47 Olympic and Paralympic sports, as they featured in an iconic photo to celebrate how National Lottery funding has transformed sport, boosted our medal chances and helped to make the London 2012 Games possible.

The winners of this year’s National Lottery Awards were announced at a glittering gala ceremony in London on Saturday (5 November).

Leading Welsh athletes today paid tribute to Lottery players for their investment in sport, as a UK-wide tour arrived in Wrexham.

Twenty-two Lottery-funded projects from across the UK are calling on the public’s support as they go head-to-head in the final stage of The National Lottery Awards 2011 when voting lines open on Friday 2 September.
