About the project

Manor House PACT recently took part in a photo shoot, helping us to celebrate 20 years of National Lottery Funding.

Manor House PACT is a £1 million, Lottery funded project, shaping a sustainable future for the people of Manor House. The project is part of The Big Lottery Fund's Communities Living Sustainably programme which is helping to make climate change more visible and relevant to local communities across England. The project is exploring how local people and communities can develop their resilience in the face of specific consequences of climate change relevant to densely-populated urban areas: heat-wave, drought, flooding, food scarcity and air pollution.

The Big Lottery Fund was set up to distribute National Lottery money to projects working in local health, education, environment and charitable purposes. Funding is delivered mostly through programmes tailored specifically to the needs of communities in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland as well as some programmes that cover the whole of the UK.
