About the project

Members of the National Children’s Orchestra recently took part in a photo shoot, helping us to celebrate 20 years of National Lottery Funding.

The National Children’s Orchestras of Great Britain provides young people with a world-class foundation for orchestral performance and musicianship. Bringing together hundreds of 7-13 year olds from across the country and offer them a life-changing experience – meeting like-minded people and being guided by top professional musicians.

This project is just one of many to have received a grant from Arts Council England, which distributes National Lottery funding, as well as government grants, to support a range of activities across the arts, including museums, libraries, theatre, digital art, reading, dance, music, literature, crafts and collections. The National Lottery supports projects like these because great art and culture inspires us, bringing people and communities together, and teaches us about ourselves and the world around us.
