About the project

Plantlife recently took part in a photo shoot, helping us to celebrate 20 years of National Lottery Funding.

National Lottery Funded Plantlife is an organisation that speaks up for wild flowers, plants and fungi. The project raises the profile of plants and protects their future.

They recognise that plant conservation begins with people and they work with partners to conserve plants on the ground in community based projects and to raise awareness of civil society rights.

The Heritage Lottery Fund has helped to conserve and recover some of the most threatened habitats and species and protect areas of distinctive landscape by through conservation, as well as helping people learn about and enjoy the unique countryside. In addition to this, Lottery funded projects often work to making green spaces and natural habitats safe and accessible for as many people as possible, so more communities can fully experience the outdoors.
