Watford Recycling Arts Project
This registered charity in Watford, Hertfordshire, collects waste material from local industry for creative re-use in arts and crafts workshops. About the project
This project received National Lottery funding from the Big Lottery Fund’s Awards for All programme, which offers small, easy to apply for grants to groups whose work addresses the issues, needs and aspirations of local communities and people. Thanks to the National Lottery, projects like this can get support to develop skills, improve health, revitalise the local environment or enable people to become more active in doing good for their own community.
The Big Lottery Fund was set up to distribute National Lottery money to projects working in local health, education, environment and charitable purposes. Funding is delivered mostly through programmes tailored specifically to the needs of communities in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland as well as some programmes that cover the whole of the UK.
