Windmill Hill City Farm is a Lottery funded project that aims to improve the lives of local people through its services and facilities. It runs activities for people with health and social care needs, gives opportunities for personal development through courses and volunteering and hosts other organisations with similar aims and services.
The Big Lottery Fund was set up to distribute National Lottery money to projects working in local health, education, environment and charitable purposes. Funding is delivered mostly through programmes tailored specifically to the needs of communities in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland as well as some programmes that cover the whole of the UK.
