Visitors can step back in time on a guided tour to Brodie Castle’s glory days or explore the Playful Garden, home to a fascinating menagerie of characters inspired by the castle’s quirky and colourful history.
Brodie Castle is open 10:30 - 3:30 pm Wednesday to Sunday for guided tours.
Visitor welcome centre, Cafe & Garden are open 10:00 - 4pm Wednesday to Sunday.
Guided tour tickets can be pre-booked in advance but are also available on the day.
How to take part
Between Saturday 7th to Sunday 15th March 2026, anyone who visits one of our participating properties or places with a National Lottery ticket, Instant Win Game, or scratchcard (physical or digital) is able to take up a special offer of free entry for one adult and free parking to a participating property. The date of draw or purchase is not relevant.
Visitors can redeem entry for one adult, with a National Lottery ticket, Instant Win Game, or scratchcard (physical or digital), by showing their ticket to a member of staff at the till point.

One National Lottery ticket (physical or digital), scratchcard, or Instant Win Game will give access to One Adult
1. Between Saturday 7th to Sunday 15th March 2026, any person bearing a National Lottery ticket or scratch card will be granted free parking and free entry for one adult to participating National Trust for Scotland properties that are open to visitors either for the entire period or fixed days within;
2. Any National Lottery ticket or scratch card will trigger free parking and free entry for one adult, regardless of date of purchase – it does not have to be current or purchased recently;
3. Each ticket or card allows only one adult free entry Each ticket with free parking for one car (in National Trust for Scotland car parks);
4. The free entry offer is limited to one adult (18 +) and does not include children on the same entry ticket, with the exception on paywalled play areas;
5. With regard to paywalled play areas, a ticket or card allows admission of one child accompanied by an adult;
6. Entry remains subject to our normal terms and conditions of entry and ticket holders are advised to check ahead for each property’s opening hours via www.nts.org;
7. The offer does not extend to events at properties which must be paid-for over and above normal entry prices or memberships; National Lottery ticket-holders are obliged to check our website in advance to find out if such events are running at their preferred property before visiting;
8. The offer does not extend where timed ticketing applies but Lottery Ticket holders will be able to access the remainder of the visitor centre free of charge;
9. The offer does not permit discounted goods or produce from our shops and catering provision;
10. At some properties pre-booking is required - National Lottery Ticket holders do not need to pre-book but entry or tour places cannot be guaranteed if they do not;
11. The offer does not apply to properties and grounds where no entry charge is made, as these are free to visit in any case;
12. Opening days and time may be subject to change – Ticket holders are advised to check the National Trust for Scotland website www.nts.org.uk before travelling to a property.
All National Lottery games, including National Lottery draw-based games, Instant Win Games, and National Lottery scratchcards, purchased in-store and online / via app, qualify to redeem this offer.
Proof of purchase of a National Lottery game can be either hard copy ticket or digital.
The date of draw / purchase is not relevant.
All offers are subject to availability.
National Trust for Scotland has the right to refuse entry in the unlikely event of venue / offer reaching capacity, as well as unforeseen circumstances.
In the event of queries on the day, the organisation's decision is final.
