This National Lottery Open Week (7–14 March), we’re celebrating the hidden gems of the wonderful places in our care.

As a thank you to National Lottery players, we’re opening our doors and inviting you to uncover the lesser-known stories, spaces, and behind-the-scenes moments that your support helps bring to life.

From secret corners and untold histories to rare opportunities to peek behind the scenes, there’s something for everyone to discover. Whether you’re exploring the wonders of nature or enjoying the beauty of the outdoors, your visit helps care for these special places.

How to take part

1. Visit the property’s webpage and select ‘Book a visit’.

2. Choose an ‘Affiliate organisation member or passholder’ ticket.

3. Complete your booking. If you only select free passholder tickets, you won’t be asked for card details.

4. Bring both your booking confirmation and your ticket with you. Free admission can only be given when both are shown on arrival.

3. Complete your booking. If you only select free passholder tickets, you won’t be asked for card details.

One National Lottery ticket (physical or digital), scratchcard, or Instant Win Game will give access to 1 adult and up to 4 children (under the age of 18)

1. The presentation of one National Lottery ticket will entitle one player (who must be an adult) and up to 4 children free admission at participating National Trust properties between Saturday 7th March – Saturday 14th March 2026 inclusive.
i. Adults are those aged 18 or over; children are those aged 5–17 inclusive; under 5s receive free admission.

2. National Lottery tickets are non-transferable at the point of entry. The same ticket may be used to gain entry at multiple participating locations.

3. Some participating properties require booking in advance. The number of free admissions is limited at these properties. See paragraph 13 for details of how to book. 

4. Eligible National Lottery games include all draw-based Games, Scratchcards and Instant Win Games.

5. The player must present their National Lottery ticket (physical or digital), Scratchcard, or Instant Win Ticket at the National Trust property reception. Photocopies will not be accepted. Players who cannot present a ticket may be charged the full admission price.

6. Not all National Trust places are taking part in the free entry offer. Visit https://www.lotterygoodcauses.org.uk/open-week to find out where you can explore for free. Players are advised to check in advance of travelling as free admission can be refused at a non-participating property.

7. Eligible purchases may be made in-store and online/via app.

8. The date of purchase of the National Lottery game and the date of any draw are not relevant to eligibility.

9. Admission is during regular opening hours at each participating property only. Opening hours may be subject to change at any time and should be checked when planning a visit: https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk

10. There is no cash alternative.

11. This offer is for standard admission only and excludes non-standard admission, group entry, transport and any paid events.

12. This offer does not include parking at National Trust places, unless the price of parking is included within the standard admission price.

13. It is important to check the property's web page at https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk when planning a visit to check entry and to book tickets, if needed. To book:
i. Visit the property's website, click 'Book a Visit'.
ii. Select an ‘Affiliate organisation member or passholder’ ticket.
iii. Complete the transaction and you will receive a confirmation email. If you only select the free passholder tickets, you will not need to enter your debit/credit card details and you will not be charged.
iv. Present both your booking confirmation and your ticket to the National Trust team member on arrival. Free admission will only be accepted with both a booking confirmation and ticket. This offer does not include parking at National Trust places, unless the price of parking is included within the standard admission price.

14. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer and has no cash value.

15. This offer is non-transferable between visitors. If the National Trust deems this to have occurred, we reserve the right to refuse free admission, and the full admission price may be charged.

16. This offer does not give free admission to non-National Trust places with reciprocal entry agreements, such as English Heritage (including Stonehenge and Housesteads Fort) or National Trust for Scotland.

17. This offer is available to anyone except employees of the National Lottery (e.g.Allwyn or Camelot employees) and employees of the National Trust and their immediate families.

All National Lottery games, including National Lottery draw-based games, Instant Win Games, and National Lottery scratchcards, purchased in-store and online / via app, qualify to redeem this offer.

Proof of purchase of a National Lottery game can be either hard copy ticket or digital.

The date of draw / purchase is not relevant.

All offers are subject to availability.

National Trust has the right to refuse entry in the unlikely event of venue / offer reaching capacity, as well as unforeseen circumstances.

In the event of queries on the day, the organisation's decision is final.
