The Bowes Museum team want to say a big thank you to Lottery players and the National Lottery for their essential support. On 21 and 22 March, any adult with a National Lottery ticket or scratch card can enjoy Free Entry for up to 2 adults and accompanying children under 18years, carers and students (with a valid student card). Free parking. Join as a Bowes Museum Member and receive a bonus gift of a one-time use free entry voucher for friend or family to use in 2025.
Located in the heart of the attractive and historic town of Barnard Castle, just off the A66/A1, the impressive French-styled building has an extraordinary collection of European art, design, textiles, silver and ceramics throughout its 22 galleries. Come and enjoy the beauty, artistry and science of the Silver Swan as she performs daily at 2pm, get hands-on and creative in the create spaces or discover some of the world’s best-known artists – Van Dyck, Goya, Canaletto, Gainsborough. Also enjoy the fabulous new exhibition for 2025, From Joséphine Bowes: Trendsetters and Trailblazers. Celebrating the 200th anniversary and artistic vision of museum co-founder, Joséphine Bowes.
Treat yourself to lunch in the café, a walk in the parkland and garden or indulge yourself in the shop.
The Bowes Museum will be taking part in National Lottery Open Week with a special offer, as detailed above, to National Lottery players who provide proof of purchase.

Proof of purchase of a National Lottery game can be either hard copy ticket or digital.
