1. Brodie Castle

Location: Scotland

Offer: Free Entry, 19 – 27 Mach

The ancestral home of the Brodie Clan for over 400 years, Brodie Castle boasts a complete Victorian children’s nursery and a 16th century guard chamber. Unlike most castles however, in its grounds you will find a giant bunny resting in the Playful Garden, which is home to a fascinating menagerie of characters inspired by the property’s history as well as the national daffodil collection.

Plus, no need to leave your four-legged friends at home, as dogs are welcome on the estate. (Assistance dogs only please in the castle, Playful Garden and adventure playground).

2. The Siege Museum

Location: Derry, Northern Ireland

The state-of-the-art Siege Museum tells the story of the Siege of Londonderry in 1689 and the development of the Apprentice Boys of Derry Association.

A treasure-house of artefacts, from past to present. Based over three floors, the exhibition offers an educational and interactive visitor experience.

3. National Botanic Garden of Wales

Location: Carmarthenshire, Wales

Offer: Free tours of restored Regency landscape - 24th and 25th March

The Regency Restoration project has, over the past five years, reinstated two lakes and restored cascades and a waterfall.

Two new dams, six new bridges and miles of new paths link up this historic landscape. One bridge sits above the waterfall, giving you the unique feeling of being in the canopy of trees with the water tumbling at your feet.

Visit to discover more about the ecology and history of the site, and the complex design and engineering process which made it all possible.

4. The Roman Baths

Location: Bath, South West of England

Offer: Free entry – 24 March

The Roman Baths is one of the finest historic sites in Northern Europe.

Once the site of one of the great religious spas of the ancient world; the people of Roman Britain came to the site to worship the goddess Sulis Minerva and bathe in the waters of the natural thermal springs, which still flow with hot water today.

Explore the Roman Baths complex, walk on the original Roman pavements and see the ruins of the Temple of Sulis Minerva.
