Black History Month
Every October, Black History Month is an opportunity to celebrate Black Britons, explore their histories and share their stories.
This Black History Month, we're celebrating National Lottery-funded projects that are helping to champion Black communities across Britain.
This year's theme, 'Honouring Our Communities', recognises the people who help strengthen Black communities, but whose work often goes unseen. These include volunteers, teachers, nurses, carers, community leaders and organisers who make a difference every day.
Throughout the month, we'll be spotlighting National Lottery-funded projects that are doing just that.
Tapestry of Black Britons
Through striking woven tapestries, exhibitions and events, Tapestry of Black Britons is shining a light on Black British stories that are often overlooked.
