Consent Form for The National Lottery Awards 2023

Thank you for your nomination for The National Lottery Awards. The National Lottery Awards are an annual celebration of the UK’s favourite National Lottery funded people and projects and is co-ordinated by the National Lottery Promotions Unit (NLPU). Individual nominations will be reviewed by our judging panel who will then select the winners that receive a £5,000 cash prize for their project. Project nominations will be shortlisted to compete in a public vote for the title of National Lottery Project of the Year with a £5,000 cash prize for the winning project.

What are we collecting:

As part of The National Lottery Awards campaign, we are collecting your nominations which will include:

The name of your National Lottery Awards nominee

A description of what the project/person does within their project

A named contact, email address and telephone number for the nominee

It is the nominator’s responsibility to obtain permission from the nominee to nominate them, and if the nominee is under 18, to obtain permission from their parent or guardian.

What we will do with the information you provide:

We will use the information you provide to inform the shortlisting process for The National Lottery Awards.

We will share the information you provide with our entry co-ordinators who will use this information for the basis of shortlisting entrants. In addition, we may use the email addresses supplied to encourage entries in subsequent years.

How long will we retain your personal information:

The deadline for entries for the 2023 National Lottery Awards is 12:00pm on 16 May and we envisage sharing your organisation’s details up until this date.

The data you provide us will be used for this year’s National Lottery Awards and will be retained until May 2024 to inform future campaign entries.

What are my rights?

  • You have the right to withdraw your consent for the Fund to use your personal data at any time.
  • You have the right to request access to your information.
  • You have the right to request that your information be rectified or deleted.
  • You have the right to request that your information be made available to you in a format that allows it to be reused by other organisations.
