The ‘People’s Portraits’ series is part of our UK-wide campaign celebrating the impact #NationalLottery funding has had on communities around the country since it began 28 years ago.

TV conservationist Chris Packham celebrates climate change champions with new mural at The Eden Project

Chris Packham, environmentalist, presenter and author, unveiled the striking artwork today at The Eden Project in Cornwall to raise awareness of Milly’s incredible achievements, made possible through funding from The National Lottery and to encourage others to do their bit to save the planet.

Deaf rapper celebrated with unique installation at London's Roundhouse

Kevin Walker, aka Signkid, is a deaf music artist whose ground-breaking sign songs have seen him overcome barriers and open doors for the deaf community in being able to access and enjoy music, has been honoured with an innovate art installation at London’s Roundhouse.

Chris Tarrant honours Ukrainian refugee

Broadcaster Chris Tarrant has helped us to unveil the first installation in our ‘People’s Portraits’ series at the Royal Albert Dock in Liverpool. The projection was created by Sergey Piskunov and highlights Vladyslava Zhmuro, a refugee who fled the war in Ukraine and now helps others as a caseworker at the Welsh Refugee Council.
