Bird song highlights National Lottery funding to the RSPB

Bird watchers and nature lovers are bound to get themselves in a flap over the latest activation in the National Lottery’s ‘Just Imagine’ campaign, which aims to raise awareness of the massive impact that £31 billion in project funding has had across the UK since the first National Lottery draw 20 years ago.
On Tuesday, Twitter will be alive with real-life tweeting as the sounds of anonymous bird calls are released to raise awareness of the £19 million of good cause funding received by the RPSB via 170 grants.
The tweets of seven endangered birds will be released via the @LottoGoodCauses Twitter feed and the public will be asked to consider what species of birds they are.
Funding from the National Lottery, distributed by the Heritage Lottery Fund, has been crucial to the work of a number of projects including Winterbourne Downs, Wiltshire; Bempton Cliff in East Yorkshire and Minsmere in Suffolk.
