The National Lottery’s The Big Music competition was a nationwide search to find a new soundtrack for Dan TDM’s massive online channel, which has over 14 million subscribers.
Pete Conneely from Bromley’s track beat over 400 entries to become one of the finalists, winning him the chance to meet Dan TDM at the Capital London Studios.
Pete, along with the two finalists, was introduced to Dan TDM at the iconic studios and watched as a Capital producer recorded the new soundtrack for Dan’s huge online channel.
19 year old Pete said:
“Wow! I’ve had amazing experience visiting Capital Studios in London. Not only did I get to meet my idol Dan TDM, but I also got to watch his new soundtrack being created- I can’t wait until it goes on YouTube.”
“Meeting Dan at Capital London Studios has inspired me to follow my dream of being a professional musician. I wouldn’t have had this incredible opportunity if it wasn’t for the National Lottery.”
Minecraft vlogger Dan chose to launch the competition with the National Lottery funded The Big Music Project after finding out about its life-changing work helping 14-24 year olds develop their talents in the music industry through work placements and career guidance.

“Meeting Pete and the gang at the Capital London studios was fantastic. It’s great to see that Lottery-funding and the hard work of the Big Music Project goes into inspiring such creative talent across the country. Because of this, I now have some brand new music to go along with my videos!”
